Briefing and Launch time:18.45 (*Please note that it will be at the discretion of the trip leader as to whether or not any member who has not signed up and not attended the safety briefing is allowed to participate in this trip.)
Estimated Duration: 1hr
Outline plan: Meet at the container 18.15 and try to get boats and kit sorted asap. Beginners first trip so will probably take a bit longer than normal to sort kit. Small boats only. Short walk to jetty to launch and use as access /exit point. Plan is to split into 2 groups, one for beginners and other for more experienced paddlers and just get used to paddling in cold water again in not too challenging situations. Go up and down the river as time permits. Probably all out before 8 pm as it will start to get dark then .
Expected condtions: At the moment S wind B2 but strong occasional gusts. We are very sheltered so should not be a problem. High tide is 10.25 pm and there is no rain expected for the next two days so conditions should be good. Sunset is 8.04pm
