Estuary adventure!!! Haverfordwest to Neyland 10th Jan 2026

Estimated Duration: 4 hours +/-
Outline plan: Launch at the Bristol Trader and Paddle down towards Neyland Marina. We may leave a car at Black Tar for emergency egress. We will meet at 9:15 to unload all boats and kit and then move as many cars to get out point as possible. Please bring a dry bag to transport dry clothes, shoes, etc. to get changed into at get out or leave them in one of the vehicles at the get out. This trip is suitable for most of the club members. If you are an intermediate paddler, please feel free to sign up. Less experienced paddlers please contact me if you are unsure if this trip is for you, you will need a wetsuit or (ideally) drysuit / dry cag&bottoms.
Expected condtions: Tomorrow we will be meeting at the container at 9am if you need to borrow kit or at the Bristol Trader at 9:15 if you do not require kit. The forecast is looking good in terms of weather, force 2 NW -> force 2 W later. We will be going out with the tide on a one way journey, so we will need to arrange a shuttle in the morning. Max tidal speed is expected to be 1.4 knots, so think of a slow moving river. It is going to be cold so please ensure you bring plenty of warm layers, a packed lunch and a hot drink too!
